TRENDLE STREET 1. 1625 (North Side) Cottages known as No 4 and No 2
ST 6316 1/227 II GV 2.
Adjoins Digby Estate No 171. C18 or early. One 2 storey stone rubble front, No 4 painted over, No 2 rendered. No 4: 3 window front. On first floor, from left to right hand, small 3-light casement, small 2-light casement and small 3-light casement. On ground floor, from left to right hand 4-flush-panelled door with pedimented hood; 4-light casement with wood lintel. No 2: 2 window front. Two 2-light casements with small panes above. Below, 2 sash windows without glazing bars. Early C19 doorcase with moulded archivolt, angle roundels, and entablature; 6-flush-panelled door with top 2 panels glazed.
Premises occupied by Mr Hunt, Digby Estate Nos 170 and 171, Cottages known as Nos 4 and 2, form a group with the Hospital of Saints John the Baptist and John the Evangelist, Abbey Close.
