Farmhouse. C15 open hall core. C16 ceiling of hall. C17 fenestration. Coursed Lias stone walls. Roman tile roof with gable ends. Ogee-profile corbel-block survives. 3 brick stacks, at left gable, backing on to cross-passage, at right gable. Coping stone for thatch remains. 2 storeys. 4 windows: ground floor left with C17 4-light stone mullion window (ovolo moulds) with C20 metal case- ments. 2, 3 and 4 light casements, with leaded lights (top left). Rest with wooden glazing bars. No cills. Front door, left of centre, 3 steps up from lane. Door-frame, of oak, chamfered with a 4-centred head, very massive, c C16. Door of 4 wide planks, studded with heavy strap hinges. c C16. Wooden lintel over. Interior: 3 jointed-cruck trusses with arch-braces (2) visible, C15, defining open hall area. Ceiling with deep-chamfered beams and plain right angle stops. C16. Large open fireplace built against the cross-passage, mainly blocked. Window- shutters with recess-panelling, C18.
