II
Farmhouse. Early C18. Rubble-stone walls. Slate roof, with stone gable-coping at right hand. Projecting hipped roof at left hand. Brick stacks at left hand ridge (2), and right hand gable. 2 storeys, 3 windows, 2-light and 3-light thin stone mullions (ovolos), C20. Metal casements, C20. Left hand bay of house projects and is early Cl9. Sashes with glazing-bars. Front doorway at centre of house, stone jambs moulded, with a pulvinated frieze and moulded cornice over. Door, flush-panelled with 2 top lights, C19. Front garden walls, rubble with stone copings; square ashlar piers at corners with pinnacles, c.C18 and later. Source: R.C.H.M. Dorset I, p 175 (37).
