CORSCOMBE ST 50 NW 12.6.53 3/190 The Mill House, (formerly listed as The Old Mill) – II
Detached House, formerly the Miller's. Mid C17. Rubble-stone walls with stone quoins. Thatch roof with stone gable-copings. Brick and rendered stacks at left and right hand gables. 2 storeys. 4 windows, all are 3- light stone mullions (ovolos). Mainly C19 iron casements. Separate labels over. Front door, right of centre, plank-and-muntin, C20, with dressed stone jambs. Porch: 2 heavy wooden posts support a hipped thatch canopy. Source: RCHM Dorset I, p107 (16).
