Founded 1653, rebuilt 1850.  Slate hipped roof.  Wood eaves cornice.  Roughcast front; stuccoed base.  Cemented stringcourse.  Front to Silver Street has 4 tall round-headed windows with radiating glazing pattern, band across front painted with words "Baptist Church 1653".  Front facing down Broad Street has 2 round- headed windows above a modern brick vestibule with slate roof in contrasting style.  Lean-to addition at right hand end has one fixed 2-panes wide window above and a round-headed window and 2 fixed 2 panes wide windows below.
The Baptist Church and The Langmoor, Silver Street, together with Nos 34 to 36 (consec) Broad Street form a group with Nos 1 and 2 Pound Street.
