Pair of houses in row. Early C19. English bond brickwork, painted to No.9, tile mansard roofs, with asbestos-cement slate hanging to the left gable. 2 storeys and attic, 2+1 windows; 3 raking dormers with 4-pane sash. No.9 has original windows, a 12-pane sash in moulded box, and a 4:12:4-pane oriel with raking skirt at first floor, above a bow and a sash, both of these temporarily blocked, flanking a doorway also blocked with segmental half-brick head at ground floor. No.10 has replacement 12-pane sashes, and, to the left a C20 glazed door in segmental half-brick arch. A large brick ridge stack at the party wall between the properties, raised in later brick, and a further stack at the right gable end, here completely dwarfed by the lofty adjoining property. The former list, and RCHME refer to remains of stonework from the C16 adjoining property in the W gable, but these are no longer visible. INTERIOR: not inspected.
