Listed Building: BARFOOT MILL (103024)

ST 82 SE MELBURY ABBAS MILL HOLLOW LANE 8/233 Barfoot Mill GV II Corn mill, early C19. Coursed rubble with ashlar and brick dressings. Slate roof, half-hipped to the left. 2 storeys with irregular fenestration. 2 and 3 light casements, some with full glazing bars, some with horizontal glazing bars and some with leaded-lights. 3 segmentally headed openings to the left of the range, the outermost of which is enclosed. Plank ground and first-floor doors to the second bay from right. External cast-iron overshot waterwheel to right and wall inscribed 'E S Hindley 1875 Bourton Dorset'. Internally the machinery including 2 pairs of millstones is complete. Listing NGR: ST8773720684
