Listed Building: LITTLE BARN COTTAGE AND THE OLD FORGE (103448)

HILTON ST70SE HARTFOOT LANE (East side) 2/36 Nos.39 (Little Barn Cottage) and 40 (The Old Forge) GV II Pair of cottages. Probably C18. Walls of brick and flint up to first floor level, plastered cob above this. Thatched roofs. Brick end and centre stacks. 2 storeys. No.39 has single-storey extension at left end of brick with hipped thatched roof. Ledged door in brick gabled porch. Ground floor has one casement window with cast iron glazing - first floor has 2 similar windows. No.40 has C20 «-glazed door in open timber porch. Ground floor has 2 casement windows, one with glazing bars, one with cast iron glazing. First floor has 3 casement windows, one with glazing bars, 2 with cast iron glazing.
