Public House. Probably late C18, but may be of earlier origin.  Roughcast walls;
tiled roof; plastered stacks, one at left end, one right of centre and one
rising from front wall. 2 storeys. Flush panel door - recessed, with panelled
jamb linings and moulded architraves. Second, part-glazed door. Ground floor
has 2 sash windows with glazing bars, and a canted bay window with similar
sashes. First floor has 5 similar sashes - one of these with thicker glazing
bars - suggesting earlier date. Lower extension on right - possibly former
stables etc. This has 2 part-glazed doors and C20 casement windows. Centre section
recessed - possibly a former carriage entrance. RCHM unnumbered (Dorset. Vol III,
