Church, 1840 by Lewis Vulliamy. Banded flint and ashlar with ashlar dressings.
Stone slate roof with stone copings. Plan: nave; chancel, north and south
transepts, west porch with tower over. 2 stage west - tower surmounted by
octagonal stone spire. West door has pointed head with ogee curved label and
foliate finial. Above is a trophy of arms in a cinquefoiled niche. Cinquefoiled
window north and blank cinquefoil to south bearing inscription "MM 1840". 2-light
belfry windows with curvilinear tracery. Arcaded cornice above. Nave has
cinquefoiled lancets. Transept windows are of 2-lights with pointed heads and
returned labels. 5-light, pointed, east window with perpendicular tracery and
label with carved stops. Original ribbed doors.
Internal features: moulded, ribbed roofs forming panels, the chancel being
decorated with stars; pointed, chamfered chancel arch with respond capitals;
boxed transepts; arcaded altar rails with moulded rail; C19 wooden traceried
pulpit; C19 glass; c19 pews; various C18 and c19 monuments. (RCHM, Dorset,
