Suburban villa. c1910. Pebble dash render; slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 x 2 bays. In Arts and Crafts style having wooden-mullioned windows with leaded lights and casements, the ground-floor openings with hoods; oversailing eaves with exposed rafter ends; tall, swept-corniced stacks. Entrance front: bays 2 and 4 project under hipped roofs, bay 4 having projecting, hipped-roofed inglenook with 3 small windows to ground floor and lateral stack above; bay 2 having Diocletian window and transomed 4-light window above. Round-arched internal porch under hoodmould to bay 3, with 3-light window to right and transomed oriel above. Hipped roof. Chimneys above bay-4 lateral stack and in front roof pitch between bays 3 and 4. Rear: double doors to bay 2 with lateral stack to left and on right a flat- roofed bay window and a hipped-roofed projection; chimneys to bay. 2 Lateral stack and 2 on right in front roof pitch. Right return. Two 5-light windows to each floor. Interior not inspected. The house formed part of an estate developed 1907-1914, largely to provide holiday homes for Scottish gentry.
