Description
SALISBURY ROAD 1. (West Side) 5187 Burton Green United Reform Church No 119 (Manse) (formerly listed in the Rural District of Ringwood and Fordingbridge) SZ 19 SE 6/291 30.9.64.
II GV 2. United Reform Church dated 1875 but looks earlier. Plastered walls and slate roof Segmental gable and round headed window. Flat roofed porch, Manse appears to be C18. Plastered, with slate roof and end brick stacks. 2 storeys. 3 windows, barred sashes. Centre door, 6 panels, top 4 now glazed, moulded architrave and panelled reveals.
Nos 105 and 107, the United Reform Church and Manse Nos 125 and 131, with Nos 110 to 118 (even), the cartshed at Burton Green Farm, Dairy Cottage, St Luke's Parish Church and the Sycamores, Salisbury Road, together with No 1, Footner's Lane and the wall at its entrance,form a group surrounding Burton Green. No 1 Footner's Lane, Nos 125 and 131, Nos 116 and 118 and the cartshed at Burton Green Farm are buildings of local interest.
