Description

HIGH STREET 1. 5190 (north side) Nos 2 and 4 (Marine Villas) SZ 0378 4/54 II 2. Built 1825 by William Morton Pitt as Baths, Billiard and Coffee Rooms. Designed by Charles Wallis of Dorchester. Now a pair of semi-detached villas in Regency style. Rendered walls and low-pitched slate roofs. Two storeys. Slightly projecting bays at each end with arched recesses. Three doors - 6-panelled, with trellised porches and 2 round-headed windows to ground floor. Four plain-headed windows to first floor. All windows originally double-hung sashes with glazing bars.
