Description
CHURCH KNOWLE SY 98 SW 8/20 Disused Lime Kiln Knowle Hill, 550m North East of the Parish Church - II Former limekiln. Probably C19. Rubble stone structure. Semi- circular kiln recess with brick arch and fire grate at rear. Left of this, a pointed arched opening leading to a second chamber at high level. East wall buttressed. Interesting example of its type - largely intact.
