Description
CHURCH KNOWLE CHURCH KNOWLE VILLAGE SY 9481 13/42 Knowle Farm House, including front boundary wall GV II Former farm house. Appears early-mid C19 but probably of earlier origin. Rubble stone walls with brick dressings, hipped slate roof, plastered stack off centre. 2 storeys. Panelled door in timber porch with curved roof. Ground and first floors each have 3 double- hung sash windows with glazing bars. One additional, casement, window with glazing bars on ground floor. Fireplace with bread oven in main ground floor room. Front boundary wall of rubble stone with rough coping; probably contemporary with house. RCHM Monument 8 (Dorset Vol II).
