Badger's Thatch. (Formerly listed as Nos 17 and 18)

Detached house. Late C17-early C18. Plastered cob walls, thatched roof, brick stacks. One storey and attics. Single-storey extension at north end under catslide roof. Large modern rear extension of two storeys, with plastered walls and thatched roof. Ledged door. Ground floor has three horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars. Attic has two half dormers with similar windows. Internally, main ground floor room has large open fireplace with timber lintel. Worked stone jambs - possibly from Bindon Abbey. Some remains of bread oven. Stop-chamfered ceiling beam. RCHM Monument 6.
