Brick walls surrounding walled garden.  Probably mid-C19.  Walls plastered on inner faces, battlemented, and with shallow buttresses.  At south corner, a circular brick gazebo with ogee-shaped stone roof, and windows with stone surrounds.  Facing garden a 4-centred arched doorway surmounted by pediment. South-east wall-facing sea, east of the Family Pier, has battlements broken by square piers with stone ball finials and a lunette window.  Raised terrace adjoining Castle (q.v.) has stone balustrade wall of undulating profile, with square piers.  A National Trust property.  RCHM Monument 3, (Dorset Vol. II).
