Pair of cottages in terrace, originally one house. Late C16 - early C17. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roofs, 2 brick and one stone stacks. Originally of 3-room and cross-passage plan. 2 storey and attics. No. 21 has ledged door. Ground floor has 2 casements with glazing bars. First floor has one casement with centre horizontal bar. Attic has one small pent-roofed dormer with casement. No. 23 has ledged door in stone 4-centred arch. Ground floor has one casement with glazing bars under flat arch. First floor has 2 casements with centre horizontal bar. Interiors not accessible, but according to RCHM No. 21 contains a C17 fireplace and stone spiral stair. (RCHM, Monument 89. Dorset. Vol. II).
