Description

A watching brief was carried out by Poole Museum during the laying of the Turlin Moor-Poole sewer in the area of Upton Park in 1985. This revealed an undated site of unknown function represented by a layer of daub up to 0.3m thick in places and traced for at least eight metres. The daub comprised shapeless fragments of fired clay with extensive organic temper. This daub may have been the remains of a daub or cob structure. (1)
