Description

This barrow as opened in 1887 by antiquarian Edward Cunnington, who found a burnt burial with ashes at a lower level, probably the remains of a cremation burial. NRHE: This excavation is detailed in Cunnington's MSS which is held in the Library of Dorset County Museum, (Cunnington No.14).
