Description
During the underpinning of existing house walls at no. 7 Greenings Court and the subsequent lowering of the floor level in the attached outhouse, an opus signinum floor and some occupation material of the fourth century AD was recorded at a depth of c.1m below ground level.
No associated walls were found. the site is on the north-eastern edge of the Roman town and just north of excavations undertaken in 1970 (PDNHAS, 92, 137).
