Description

C.J.S. Green and R.N.R. Peers observed part of a Roman mosaic at Tilley's Garage, 26 Trinity Street, in 1967. The mosaic was of four colours and probably belonged to a passage 7ft wide running E-W 30ft back from the building frontage. The lower walls appeared to have been plastered to simulate marble.
