Description

About half-a-dozen burials, said to be 'evenly spaced in line abreast' were apparently seen in the southern part of the Grove Trading Estate 'about 50 yards Wof the military hospital of the R.H.A. Barracks', some time before 1951 (1). These burials are undoubtedly part of a late Roman cemetery, but are well to the SE of the main excavated late Roman cemetery at Poundbury.
