Description
Excavations by G J Wainwright with a view to reinstatement of the stones, which had been disturbed; stones from clearance of a nearby field had also been brought to the site. Stones were lifted off the site by crane and a large area including the circle and adjacent areas and extending into a neighbouring field, was excavated. The true position of the stone circle was established and stones reinstated. No direct dating evidence was recovered.
