Description
Two hand-dug trenches measuring 2m by 1m across were excavated by Wessex Archaeology in the yard to the rear of the former Fire Station, South Street, Bridport in December 1995, in advance of redevelopment. Trial Trench 1 lay to the west and revealed the stub of a mortared stone wall and robber trenches, possibly from a post-medieval building.
