Description

A watching brief was undertaken by Terrain Archaeology during the construction of a new extension to the rear of 46 Broad Street, Lyme Regis. Ther remains of a stone building with cobbled floor and stone drains was revealed. This may be a stable associated with the 17th century 'Great House' which formerly stood on this site. Another cobbled surface belonging to a more recent structure was found above. (1) (2)
