Description

Shaftesbury and District Archaeological Group conducted a watching brief during drain laying at the Bell Street car park. '…a brick floor was located at a depth of 5 ft. Iron tools were found suggesting the presence of a Blacksmith's shop known from nineteenth-century sources.' (1)
