Description

Context One carried out an archaeological watching brief at Lyons Walk in Shtesbury. Works consisted of laying 50m of new water main, laid using directional drilling. Five 1m by 1m launch pits were excavated using a hand-held hydraulic breaker, and a 1.5 tonne 360-degree tracked machine equipped with 0.45m toothed bucket. No archaeological remains or deposits were revealed.
