Description

The National Trust excavated two evaluation trenches to the south of Bishop's Court Farm house, which revealed evidence of an earlier garden layout, probably 18th century or later. This was done in advance of the renewal of the drainage at Bishop's Court Farm. A watching brief was conducted during the excavation of the drainage trenches. Much of the area was disturbed but further garden features were found. A single unstratified medieval ridge tile was recovered.
