Description
Between September 1985 and April 1986 a survey of all the non-scheduled barrows within Dorset was conducted by the Trust for Wessex Archaeology on behalf of English Heritage. This excluded those barrows within the South Dorset Ridgeway and the Isle of Purbeck survey areas which had already been examined.
Several unrecorded sites were noted and new observations were made concerning known sites. (1)
