Description

A site visit on 19 January 1996 and desk-based assessment to provide further information on the archaeological implications of the proposed construction of a terrace of three cottages. The area showed signs of having been disturbed by terracing and dumping prior to landscaping of the present garden. Documentary evidence from 1747 showed the area as open ground - plot or garden/orchard - before this.
