Description

Ten trial trenches were excavated across the development area. Several medieval features were uncovered, comprising shallow ditches and pits likely to be associated with the deserted medieval village which survives as earthworks on part of the site. Medieval pottery ranging in date from the 11th to the 15th century was recovered.
