Description

Area G8 is a detailed gradiometer survey area on Cann Common, which forms part of the larger geophysical survey undertaken along the route of a new water supply main between the Wessex Water works at Corfe Mullen, Dorset to Camp Hill Storage Tank near Salisbury, Wiltshire. No probable archaeological anomalies were identified. Three possible archaeological anomalies were identified which may represent a former bank and ditch feature (Anomalies 155-157). The record for this event has been created with support from Wessex Water.
