Description

Monitoring and recording of the removal of a block of concrete in the northwest corner of the Scheduled Area and reinstatement with rubber matting and turf. The area beneath the block consisted of sand and stone aggregate laid to fill a hole caused by previous vehicle damage at the entrance. The aggregate was left in situ. Archaeological 'trowelling down' of the area to a depth of 120mm took place. There were no deposits of archaeological significance.
