Description

Observations and recording during groundworks associated with new services revealed four medieval or early post-medieval uncoffined burials and a skull which possibly belonged to a fifth burial. Several episodes of levelling and dumping were recorded around the western end of the church, and may be associated with different phases aof alteration in 16th and 19th centuries. The service trenching was not sufficiently deep to establish whether undisturbed graveyard soils lay beneath the dumped deposits.
