Description

Evaluation of a proposed new car parking area comprising the machine excavation of three trenches totalling 11m in length. An identical sequence of deposits was seen in each trench, and consisted of topsoil and subsoil with a combined depth of 400 to 450mm. No evidence for archaeological features or deposits was observed. A single flint flak was recovered from subsoil in Trench 1.
