Description
Observations and recording during groundworks associated with the construction of a new bungalow, parking and access, and during topsoil stripping and excavation of a trench for a diverted sewer. Stripping and excavation was done by machine using a toothless bucket, revealing approximately 200mm of topsoil overlying the natural subsoil and sand and gravels. No archaeological finds or features were present. An area of modern disturbance was noted in the vicinity of the existing pipe trench.
