Description

Observation and recording during excavation of a service trench for the recycling and water purification plant. The trench ran along the access road for the plant, adjacent to the car park. It was no more than 1m wide and up to 0.4m deep below the level of existing tarmac. A number of archaeological features and deposits were recorded, including a linear ditch, a pit, spreads of industrial material and the possible remains of a wall.
