Description
A detailed magnetometer survey indicated a number of positive linear, discrete and amorphous responses. The majority of these were weak, fragmented, short, indistinct and lacking a coherent morphology, which hampered confident interpretation. It was noted that widespread and strongly magnetic debris is evident across much of the site, particularly near the western boundary, had the potential to obscure weak anomalies. Though many of the responses might be caused by naturally formed features, the presence of cut features of archaeological significanc, such as ditches and pits could not be ruled out.
