Description

Excavation of part of the site of the proposed vestry extension revealed a thin topsoil 0.12 to 0.4m deep and layers interpreted as upcast from the building of the vestry in 1876. The excavators concluded that removal of these levels to the required building formation level would not disturb any deposits dating to earlier than the 19th century.
