Description

The observations took place during the erection of an information panel and aimed to establish the archaeological resource on the site. Two post holes were hand dug by the contractor adjacent to a gravel path south of the main building. The post holes were 0.2m in diameter and 0.62m deep, spaced 0.36m apart. The soil content was examined and no finds of archaeological significance were recovered. The soil deposits revealed were said to be probably associated with gardening activity.
