Description

Resistivity survey carried out using a Geoscan RM15 resistivity meter. The survey covered the north-western quarter of the fort interior, 160m at its longest north to south and 70m at its widest. The survey area included the inner rampart and entrance in the north-west corner and the inner entrance and rampart near the centre of the south-west side. The survey also covered the causeway between ditch terminals at the north-west end, which has been interpreted as an early entrance made redundant by the realignment of the ramparts.
