Description

Observations and recording during groundworks for a house and garage. Ground reduction was required followed by the excavation of 5 trenches for strip foundations. The trenches varied in width from 0.65m and 0.80m and measured 1.06m deep. Despite the recorded presence of archaeological remains in the vicinity of the site area the site in question did not contain any features of archaeological significance. A small assemblage pf post-medieval and modern pottery was found during the initial ground reduction.
