Description

Observations and recording during ground reduction of the track to Bottle Knap Cottage to ameliorate damp problems within the cottage. The track is likely to be medieval in origin, but no evidence of the medieval construction was seen, earlier surfaces probably having been eroded away. No evidence was seen of a possible earlier wall or building seen beneath the cottage in 2016.
