Description
Observations and recording undertaken during the re-routing of the Milborne Brook in two places to the north and south of Manor Farm. The second location named the “Manor Farm Bypass” measured 65m long, 5m wide and 0.75m deep and was again machine excavated. The remains of two heavily robbed walls were exposed, consisting of large nodular flints, and associated with walled gardens. At the north eastern end a brick wall running north-south, parallel to the watercourse. The second, a wall footing aligned east-west was exposed. No finds were retained from the works and the observations revealed no significant archaeology.
