Description
Observations and recording during groundworks as a condition of Scheduled Monument Consent for installation of new ducting and CCTV base adjacent to Kimmeridge Hut. Groundworks comprised the digging of a trench for ducting 0.3m wide and 0.3m deep which extended 2.2m north-westwards from the range wardens' hut, and excavation of an area 1.2m by 1.5m through a concrete slab for footings. 0.6m deep. The latter encountered only modern overburden, and no evidence of archaeological features or finds was seen elsewhere.
