Description

Observations and recording by Wessex Archaeology during removal of a telegraph pole from the top of the long barrow, and auguring of boreholes prior to installation of a new pole and stays to the north of the barrow to enable re-alignment of overhead lines. The work was carried out as a condition of Scheduled Monument Consent. No archaeological finds or features were encountered.
