Description
A low oval mound on the north side of Warren Hill, Hengistbury Head excavated by H St George Gray in October 1922. A trench 18m by 4 m was laid out on a NE-SW axis, but was abandoned at a depth of about 0.8m when it was determined that the mound was of natural origin. A small quantity of worked flint was recorded from the excavation of this feature. (1)
