Description

Excavations by General Pitt-Rivers in 1896 revealed a low mound surrounded by a small penannular ditch with a causeway on the south west. Beneath the mound were three pits, two interpreted as unoccupied graves. Immediately to the south west of the barrow fifty-two cremations were discovered, nearly all in urns.
