Description

NRHE: Watching brief undertaken during remodelling of land for creation of golf course. Small quantity of worked flint (including part of Mesolithic tranchet axe) recovered. A single archaeological feature was encountered, a pit or gully containing much burnt flint but no dateable evidence. It was thought to be probably of late Bronze Age or early Iron Age origin.
